Avinu Films announces the film DIVINE BEAUTY (2018)

First Biblical film of the Passion of Our Lord, Jesus Christ, according to the Servant of God Luisa Piccarreta and the Catholic visionary Barnabas Nwoye.

SAFI, MALTA, March 22, 2018 /EINPresswire.com/ -- Avinu Films is pleased to announce the release of the film "Divine Beauty," a short docudrama based on the Passion of Our Lord, Jesus Christ, according to the Servant of God Luisa Piccarreta, the Daughter of the Kingdom of the Divine Will, and the Catholic visionary Barnabas Nwoye. It is the first Biblical film of its kind to be based on their published spiritual writings. Called "brilliant," "sublime," "truly a thing of beauty," and "a remarkable film with some very powerful images" by viewers during its pre-release screening, the film "Divine Beauty" features an international cast with the Maltese Reverend Colin Apap and Mariella Delia among others. It was shot on location throughout the Mediterranean islands of Malta and Gozo, and in the City of Jerusalem. Narrated by the veteran American broadcasters Timothy and Kathryn Capps, together with the up-and-coming Portuguese classical singer Maria Rocha, "Divine Beauty" was written by its female Maltese-American director and producer Marcelle Abela, with Mariella Delia as executive producer.

Abela is the only filmmaker in the history of Jerry Rudes's Cinemonde (NYC) to have two films accepted for screening. Her shorts have become official selections at various international film festivals, including the 2018 Academia Film Olomouc - 53rd International Festival of Science Documentary Films and the 2018 Voices From the Waters International Traveling Film Festival, both of which take place later this year. One of her shorts, Pillars of Creation, also starring Timothy Capps and co-produced with Mariella Delia, has become part of the official archives of the European Space Agency.

The music for "Divine Beauty", which is indexed on IMDb and Wikipedia, has been written by the award-winning Australian composer Peter Cavallo and the award-winning Russian-Canadian composer Yuri Sazonoff. Sound effects are the work of the American foley artist Jonathan Ontiveros and the British Broadcasting Corporation. Motion graphics and artwork were in the hands of the Maltese-American designer Antonia Harris. "Divine Beauty" can be viewed at its website where further information and stills are available.
