Turkey still expects concrete steps from Sweden and Finland "in the fight against terrorism," said Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu.

He recalled that he had held a trilateral meeting with the Swedish and Finnish foreign ministers in Bucharest the day before. "We discussed the steps taken within the framework of the trilateral memorandum (signed at the NATO summit in Madrid). We once again recalled the expectations of the Turkish side. Two countries (Sweden and Finland) have taken some steps within the framework of their commitments. We do not ignore these steps. However, we still have not achieved significant progress, especially regarding the extradition of terrorists," Cavusoglu said.

Cavusoglu said Sweden's new government is more sincere on the issue of fighting terrorism.
